The Great Manufacturing Get Together is coming back - a couple weeks earlier than in the past.The third annual manufacturing sector trade show will take place January 7 from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park.
In the two previous years, the event took place Jan 22 and Jan 29, respectively.
The show date is earlier this year so it can happen while Hennepin Tech is still on its winter break, said Charles Arnold who runs a Delano-based nonprofit called Manufacturing Success that helped organize the trade show.
“We wanted to do it to make the show a little more professional and easy for people to get to, from a traffic and parking standpoint,” he said.
It’s not clear yet how the timing will impact attendance, but Arnold said he’s expecting at least 800 people, similar to last year. About 300 people attended the first show two years ago.
