From the Publisher
On behalf of the team, I would like to welcome you to the debut issue of Manufacturing Success Upper Midwest

This publication is the result of a focused attempt to create an industry collaborative communication resource for manufacturing. What this means is that this publication, by design, primarily features articles and information submitted by leading local and national manufacturing trade organizations and companies, much like a digest.

However, you will see one very noticeable difference in the look and feel of this publication as we strive to enhance the positive image of manufacturing.

The purpose of our focus stems from two primary goals:

To support the growth and professionalism of leading manufacturing trade organizations — In Manufacturing Success Upper Midwest we support this goal by offering industry trade organizations the opportunity to submit an article in our The Manufacturing Community section featured in each issue. We believe the knowledge and experience found within each organization has been, and continues to be, key to the success of manufacturers across America. We offer this feature to recognize the efforts of these local and national trade organizations and to provide a platform that showcases the knowledge each has to share.

To build a reservoir of knowledge from the vast manufacturing community for manufacturing companies to access easily within their busy day — This publication and all the services offered through Manufacturing Success adhere to two principles faithfully. Everything must be presented in a summarized format highlighting the take-a-way knowledge and it must be positive.

We are honored that you have taken the time to review our publication. We trust you will find it to be a useful resource that positively affects your business.

You, as a manufacturing professional, are the reason for our efforts; We welcome any comments or submissions you would care to offer.

Sincerely,

Charles Arnold
